Mentoring with a Vision (MWAV) provides high quality mentoring services that builds employability, conflict resolution, communication, and essential life skills in adolescents. Our mission is to strengthen students’ character and soft skills, empowering them to make positive decisions and pursue more rewarding lives while contributing to the overall well being of the community.
Adolescents face unique decision making challenges during critical psychological and neurological stages of development. In Shelby County, Tennessee, exposure to community violence has become a significant public health concern, placing many youths at heightened risk, particularly in communities where at risk behaviors are prevalent.
MWAV addresses these challenges by connecting adolescents with positive role models and mentors who teach practical life and employability skills. We emphasize the importance of academic achievement and participation in constructive activities, reinforcing the message that positive engagement increases employability, resilience, and long term success.
